Al Stirpe is squeezing us out of our hard-earned money. Since he was elected, our property taxes have increased, gas prices have skyrocketed and jobs have left our area for New York City!

Here’s the facts on the Stirpe Squeeze:

Squeezing middle class taxpayers

Al Stirpe voted against an amendment to triple tax rebate checks this year and quadruple the rebates next year (A.04307B) 3/12/07

“Assemblyman Al Stirpe said he opposes a property tax cap.” (Post Standard, May 20, 2008)

Al Stirpe voted to increase taxes 7 times, for a total of $2.4 Billion in new taxes.

Squeezing Senior Citizens

Al Stirpe voted to stop legislation that would make more senior citizens eligible for EPIC prescription drug assistance (A.5521 of 2007).

Spend Now and I’ll Tax You Later

Al Stirpe voted YES on the 2007-08 State Budget, which increased spending by $5 billion.

Outsourcing Our Jobs to NYC and Foreign Countries

Voted to reward companies that outsource jobs from Upstate and elsewhere to NYC by giving millions in employment assistance grants to businesses that move to NYC (A.9167-A of 2007).

Flushing Our Tax $$$ Down the Hudson

Voted to give rebate checks to homeowners in NYC (A.8161 of 2007).

I love raising your taxes!

Stirpe supports increasing personal income taxes (NYSUT Newsletter, 3/20/08) saying “In times of emergencies, like we’re facing, people at the top of the food chain have to help out a little more,” said Assemblyman Al Stirpe, D-North Syracuse.

I now pronounce you Chuck and Larry

Al Stirpe voted YES on legalizing gay marriage (A.8590 of 2007). People can’t afford to pay their property taxes and gas prices are out of sight and Al Stirpe’s top priority is gay marriage???!!!???

The People are Stupid and I know Better Than Them

“The tax cap is very popular,” Stirpe said. “Something like 76 percent of people polled said they wanted a cap. Unfortunately, I don’t think they know what they are asking for.” (Post Standard, May 20, 2008).
